Vibe magazine revealed a controversial cover featuring none other than R&B singer Ciara !
Photographed wearing nothing but a pair of platforms, Ciara covers the R&B heavy issue of the magazine that allegedly told Robin Thicke that he could not cover it because he was white. Albeit controversial, the cover as pictured below confirms what many had believed about the Robin Thicke controversy, which was that another artist, in this case Ciara's cover was more viable to the magazine.
Promoting her new album "Fantasy Ride" which is due later this year, Ciara says "I'm not gonna hold back too much" in reference to her new project.
R&B stars John Legend, Lloyd, Ne-Yo, Pretty Ricky and Robin Thicke appear in the issue as well, which reportedly takes a hard look at Pretty Ricky after the depature of group member Pleasure P.

Ciara To Be New Victoria Secrets Model

Ciara is looking to expand her modeling portfolio. The star is taking her modeling chops to Victoria's Secret.

"It's a perfect fit. It plays with her personality and her coming of age," says Lisa Cambridge, a rep from Ciara's label.

It's been a busy year for the star's fashion career. She recently signed a deal with modeling agency Wilhelmina Models and has aspirations to begin her own clothing line.

She's reportedly in talks with Steve & Barry's to start the clothing line, which would be affordable and accessible.

A Victoria's Secret opportunity would enhance her fashion and modeling resume.

"It's tasteful, sexy and beautiful, just like her," says Cambridge.

Ciara Signs With The Willamina Modeling Agency

Singer Ciara, fresh off of her stint as the face of Rocawear’s women’s line, is now looking to delve into modeling professionally and has signed with top notch modeling agency, Willamina. The 5′8 inch beauty, who originally thought she was only 5′7, said: “Modeling has always been one of my aspirations, but I was insecure about my height. Finding out I’m actually 5′8 is very exciting for me”. Additionally, the singer is also looking to start her own clothing line (where I have heard this before) and is said to be in talks with discount department store, Steve & Barry’s, to create an affordable line especially geared towards her young urban fans. In the meantime, the singer/aspiring model, continues to work on her new album, Fantasy Ride, which is due to be released this September via Jive Records.

Ciara Gets Conceptual On Fantasy Ride

R&B singer Ciara has slated her third album, "Fantasy Ride," for a September release via Jive. Rather than one standard CD, the music will be spread across three separately packaged discs, bundled together, each with five to six songs catering to a different theme.

The first disc is called "Groove City" and will contain sensual songs like "Promise," while the second disc is called "Crunktown" and includes tracks akin to Ciara's 2004 introductory single, "Goodies." Finally, the up-tempo "Kingdom of Dance" will showcase Ciara's house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.

Producer Tricky Stewart, who crafted Rihanna's "Umbrella," is co-executive-producing the project along with Ciara. Danja is helming both "Crunktown" and "Kingdom of Dance," while "Groove City" is led by Tricky and Jasper.

An official single will drop in June, according to the label. Ciara's last album, 2006's "The Evolution," has sold 1.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The artist appears in the upcoming film "Mama I Want To Sing," co-starring Lynn Whitfield and Patti LaBelle, which hits theaters in October.

AHH: Who would you pick as the Number One dancer?
Ciara: My judgment on dancing, I judge it to the core of what I feel is true dancing. I think what it was for them is there is a difference in entertaining and dancing. One of the ultimate entertainers is Michael Jackson and Prince; I think he’s on fire. He is one I think he may not do many dance moves, but you’re going to be locked in watching his show from the beginning to the end and if he does any move, you love it. There’s a difference between entertainment and dancing to me, and if you’re going to judge dancing on its own, I would pick a street dancer or an artist that rocks all the way day in the streets. But one person I don’t know if they know but I think they’re aware of…is on fire when it comes to the moves, that are raw (and when I say raw, I mean hardcore), is Omarion. He is on fire with the moves; I’m not going to front. He’s clean with his moves when he does it. There’s a difference when you can get crazy and get raw and rowdy, but Omarion gets it cracking.

The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network Awards dinner was yesterday, a fundraiser for "taking back responsibility" in the hip hop music community by honoring those stars that give back their time and their funds to helping to improve "the quality of life of all people," according to HSAN Chairman Russell Simmons, who hosted last night's shindig. Ciara, Snoop Dogg, Doug E. Fresh, Jim Jones, and Chris Lighty were among those who were honored for their good deeds in the hip hop community.

Ciara showed up on the red carpet looking fly as all get out - who is this woman's physical trainer? She looks better than Jessica Simpson did when she got all slimmed down and pumped up to play Daisy Mae Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard.
